I am a writing and Language Arts teacher who loves learning, literacy, stories, learning, dogs, poetry, fabulous shoes, and good lip gloss. I began my career as a high school English teacher in 1992 and then became a high school librarian and 2011 Library Journal Mover and Shaker before returning to the classroom in August 2016.
Today we worked on our creative formative assessments for any ONE book a student finished reading between August 1 and October 10. We will complete these tomorrow in class for a summative grade.
Students who did not finish both assessments in class today should work on the project at home for 15 minutes tonight.
Today most students finished their literary argument paragraph and worked on their reading ladder graphic organizer. Some students have moved ahead to the creative formative assessments of one book he/she has completed reading the first nine weeks. Please encourage your child to read over the fall break! We’ll see you on Thursday, October 10!
