Tuesday, February 18, 2020 Class Learning Agenda and Class News

In all classes today, we did:

  1.  15 minutes of Membean
  2.  Poetry Tuesday presentations and readings; students in the audience completed reflections on each presentation.

Homework:

  1.  Read your choice/independent reading book.
  2.  Complete a 2nd 15 minute segment of Membean if you did not do one on your day off on Monday.

Friday, February 14, 2020 Class Learning Agenda and News


Period 8-1

  • Argument in the Real World/Wild Analysis Safari; we will complete Part on Wednesday, 2/19.
  • Reminders about Poetry Tuesday presentations scheduled Tuesday, 2/18.  Come prepared with a copy of your poem and your poetry reflection.

Period 8-4

  • Finish Argument in the Wild 3-2-1 Reflection
  • Groups share out
  • Work on poetry project, Membean, Actively Learn, or read your independent reading book.
  • Reminders about Poetry Tuesday presentations scheduled Tuesday, 2/18.  Come prepared with a copy of your poem and your poetry reflection.

Periods 8-5 and 8-6

  • Reminders about Poetry Tuesday presentations scheduled Tuesday, 2/18.  Come prepared with a copy of your poem and your poetry reflection.
  • Part 1 of Argument in the Wild Analysis Safari (we will complete Wednesday, 2/19)

Homework and Reminders

  • You must complete two (2) fifteen (15) minute segments of Membean by 11:59 PM on Sunday, February 16.
  • Work on Membean on your day off on Monday, February 17; read your library/independent reading book.
  • If you need to return a BLAST form, please bring it Tuesday, February 18.
  • Be ready to present your poem if you are scheduled on Tuesday, February 18.

Period 8-1

Ms. Heil covered my 1st period today; I was delayed due to the serious traffic accident on Highway 53 at the Forsyth/Hall County line.

Students had the option of:

  1.  Reading their choice reading book
  2.  Working on Membean
  3.  Working on Actively Learn
  4.  Working on their Poetry Tuesday presentation.

We will do the Arguments in the Wild Analysis Safari on Friday!


Period 8-4

  1.  Complete our Pop Up Discussion from Wednesday.
  2.  Introduce our “Arguments in the Wild” Analysis Safari activity.
  3.  We will finish the 2nd part of our small group work for our “safari” hunt tomorrow.
