Today we did one of our most challenging activities of the year.   Students selected a passage from either their library book or from an alternate text I provided (poem or informational article) and analyzed the tone of the author.  This activity built on our group work yesterday.  We posted our work in Seesaw–please see the photo gallery below.

Students who finished early either worked on the assignment from Friday 12/6 or moved ahead to Quickwrite 4.

  4.  Table Talk on Tone with excerpt of “I Have a Dream Speech”
  5.  1st period only:  Gimkit review game on tone.  All other classes will begin with the game tomorrow as our warm-up.
