Today we engaged in partner reading of two informational text articles as part of our review and prep for the essay writing task students will see on Tuesday, December 17 on the district Quarter 2 benchmark test. Students read the articles together and then used the graphic organizer to do some planning for their concrete details/textual evidence. We shared out our findings as a group and then reviewed an outline for planning the essay on Tuesday.
Periods 8-1 and 8-4 also turned in homework for those who didn’t finish Quickwrite 4 yesterday in class.

Last week students previewed a diverse group of memoirs and literary nonfiction. I would love to be able to give every student his /her first choice. If you would like to purchase a book from our wish list for our classroom library and these book clubs, please take a look at the list here. I appreciate any book purchases you may be able to make for our book clubs coming up in early January 2020!
If each family could purchase one copy of each book, we could easily fulfill our wish list for all classes!
