Today students worked in assigned “Table Talk” groups to finish up our work with the short story “Thank You Ma’m” by Langston Hughes.

Periods 1 and 4:

1.  Warm-Up/Ticket in the Door
2.   Work in small groups to complete discussion task (15 minutes)
3.  Large group share out (performance assessment grade).
4.  “Important Passage” Ticket out the Door

Period 5 and 6

1.  Warm-Up/Ticket in the Door
2. “Important Passage” Ticket
3.  Large group share out of both warm-up tasks (performance assessment grade)
4.  Table Talk Collaborative Work—complete and turn in

Today was the last day to complete the “Thank You Ma’m” digital playlist we have worked on for 5 class days.  Students will be graded for completion of tasks.

In addition, students completed a digital “check out” ticket for the assignment and mini self-assessment.

 

As of today, students should have finished the work in Common Lit on the digital playlist and been working on the printed copy tasks.  All work is due at the end of class on Friday.
