Today most students finished their literary argument paragraph and worked on their reading ladder graphic organizer.  Some students have moved ahead to the creative formative assessments of one book he/she has completed reading the first nine weeks.  Please encourage your child to read over the fall break!  We’ll see you on Thursday, October 10!

Today we finished our compare/contrast charts for “Thank You Ma’m” and “Kindness.”  Most students started and/or our finished our literary argumentative paragraph assignment using the help tools I provided at each work area.  Today was full of ROCK STAR writing!  Way to go 8th graders!

Today we worked on our compare/contrast chart for “Thank You Ma’m” and “Kindness”:

Students had a “cheat sheet” to help them break down the elements of each text.

1st and 4th periods worked independently; 5th and 6th period groups had the choice to work alone, with a table partner, or as a table group.  Our goal was to complete the entire chart today.
