Today was our third and final book club meeting.   Students used their reading notes they prepared this past week, any extra credit work completed, and their Book/Head/Heart brochures.

We started with partner talk.

We then came together with our regular book club group and shared out the following.  Once groups finished, they completed a self-assessment and turned in the following items through their book club folder to Ms. Hamilton

1.  This week’s reading notes

2.  Reading Notes checklist

3.  Today’s self-assessment

4.  Any extra credit work

5.  Book/Head/Heart brochures in Period 1 and 4; Periods 5 and 6 turn in the brochure only if finished.  Periods 5 and 6 may finish the BHH brochure over the weekend and turn in Monday, 2/3.

We also completed a short survey in Canvas.

Remember to finish your second Membean session this Sunday by midnight if you did not complete two in class or at school this week.  You will need your book club each day next week–be sure to bring it!

• Work on your reading notes for Week 3; be sure to include all required elements whether you are doing a graphic organizer from me OR Options 1, 2, 3, or 4 for notetaking.

• If you are ahead and want to do 15 minutes of Membean, you may do so.

• BHH due Friday for Periods 1 and 4; BHH due Monday, 2/3/2020 for Period 5 and 6.

• Don’t forget about literacy night on Tuesday, February 4, 2020!  Please return your “attendance form” whether it is yes or no by Friday for an easy daily grade!
