Today our focal point was characterization in all classes; Periods 1, 4, and 6 worked through our first day of Playlist Station rotations that focus on analyzing the characters in the short story.  5th period completed a modified version of the same tasks but in a different format since they were not quite ready for another playlist activity today.

Coming Up The Rest of the Week

  • Wednesday:  Complete our Playlist Work/Story Review of “Raymond’s Run”
  • Thursday:  Finish story review, quiz over the story “Raymond’s Run”
  • Friday:  Library book reading time + Membean vocabulary work

All Classes:

  1.  Take the SRI Lexile assessment.
  2.  Complete the Lexile reflections survey (hard copy) and turn in to Ms. Hamilton.
  3. Work on completing your review materials (graphic organizer and questions) for “Raymond’s Run”; due at beginning of class on Tuesday if you did not complete.

Some of you will be finishing your “Raymond’s Run” reflections during War Time tomorrow; be sure to check the roster outside of my room and the grade level list tomorrow.

1st Period

  • Work on “Best of Quickwrites” Assignment and submit work via Canvas and hard copies.
  • If time permits, work on Vocabulary.com “Raymond’s Run” word list

4th, 5th, and 6th Periods

You have the entire period to finish reading “Raymond’s Run” (we started together) and your reflections graphic organizer.  Try to finish or get as far as you can.  Turn in completed work and see me for the “Work Ahead” assignment.
